Peter Kellison began his career in politics and the government in 1983, while serving as general staff both in Washington, D.C. and at the California State Senate. There, his efficiency and effectiveness led to a quick run up the ladder and a job overseeing Capitol operations for a State Senate Leader.
Mr. Kellison has played an active and influential role in diverse substantial health care and workers’ compensation issues, and most issues related to pharmacy and prescription drugs over the past 25 years. He has been cited as “One of the Most Influential Individuals in Health Policy and Politics in California” by Capitol Weekly. In 2008 he was inducted into the California Pharmacy Hall of Fame and is the only non-pharmacist inductee.
Prior to forming Clear Advocacy LLC, Mr. Kellison registered as a lobbyist in 1987, representing business, public sector and health-care related interests. He quickly was invited to become a principal in a four-person lobbying firm specializing in the same areas of concern. In 2000, he created The Kellison Company to further his work in the field, representing Fortune 100 companies in healthcare and business, and numerous trade associations, non-profits, and small businesses. The Kellison Company remains a well-established lobbying firm.
Mr. Kellison is a 1983 graduate of California State University, Chico, where he majored in International Relations and carried a minor in Russian History.
